Overview :

The client is a leading Auto refinancing company based in the Dallas/Fort Worth
area. It focuses mainly on assisting its clients in finding the best auto loan terms
for their new or used car purchases or on helping them save money by refinancing
their existing vehicles.

The client approached us with a challenge: their current web-based Line of
Service (LOS) system, built in ASP, presented complex pages and performance
issues. Additionally, they faced learning difficulties and a scarcity of expert
resources to handle ASP effectively. Despite these challenges, users were
comfortable with the LOS interface. Consequently, the client sought a solution to
modify the LOS to maintain its convenience while addressing the underlying
issues.

Insight Consultants adopted a comprehensive strategy for redesigning the current loan origination solution, commencing with strategic planning that entailed a thorough analysis of the client’s needs.

Our Solution

Our solution involved a strategic approach to redesigning the Loan Origination Solution (LOS) while preserving the existing user interface and functionality. Leveraging the .NET framework,
Microsoft’s current technology stack, we developed a refinance car loan application that prioritized scalability and future interface redesign possibilities.

Throughout the rewrite process, we maintained the original user interface design and operational workflow. Additionally, we introduced a modular business layer within the application, housing essential business classes. This architectural refinement not only facilitated scalability for future growth but also ensured that any future changes to the user interface could be seamlessly implemented without necessitating a full application rewrite.

The rewrite was conducted selectively, focusing on key functionalities of the LOS, and we scheduled the release in four manageable groups to streamline implementation and minimize disruption to operation.
