Seeking a Software Test Engineer with 6 months to 2 years of significant experience in manual testing and validation activities in a regulated environment with relevant technology exposure.
This position will have an edge over the classic software test experience, and you will be actively engaged in the project(s).
Mainly focus on bringing expertise in solving problems and leveraging the latest technologies to develop innovative solutions to bring the advantages of the global marketplace to Small & Medium Businesses/Enterprises worldwide.
Position reports to Quality Manager.
Prior experience with Startups and product development companies is preferred.

The candidate should be able to read through code and perform code reviews based on checklists provided by the QA Manager.
The candidate should have good exposure to different testing strategies Functional, Integrations, systems. The candidate should be able to derive Integration Scenarios.

Minimum Education

Undergraduate degree in any computer related field (preferably in engineering);
Post-graduation (project management and/or business related) preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications

Testing certification would be an added advantage.

Technical Aptitude

A good understanding of the software development process and software testing life cycle.

Scripting knowledge in developing the test automation scripts.
Experience with test automation frameworks using .Net/ Javascript, C# & Selenium in Visual Studio/playwright will be an added advantage.
Experience working in Agile/Iterative process
Discuss and create test scenarios based on different test techniques Functional, Integration, Systemfor testing the modules developed.
Knowledge in writing SQL queries

Excellent logical testing and analytical skills.

Functional Aptitude:

Whilst working as a software tester, it’s important for you to provide tactful, insightful feedback to maintain a good working relationship with other members of the design team.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Strong verbal, written, and e-mail communication and consultancy skills; Should maintain a good relationship and communicate frequently regarding business–related needs with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Good experience and exposure to test case writing and execution.
Good knowledge of bug reporting and retesting.
Good knowledge of all testing types like system, regression, Integration, Functional, UI, etc.
Good presentation skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate with PL on daily tasks.
Works closely with the team and ensures all deliveries are on time, on the scope, and with quality to clients
Create user acceptance test cases, integration test cases for the projects.

Review prototypes and find the missing gaps.
Review unit test cases of developers.
Test the application to the test cases created.
Responsible to Log the defects and capture the severity of the defects with all necessary details as applicable.
Provide support to the development team on defect resolution.

Work with PL to maintain the quality of the modules/projects.
Identify issues and escalate appropriately to the concerned stakeholders.
Excellent time management and decision-making skills.
Able to support project–related activities and being flexible in working hours.
Follow company standards and processes.
Good understanding of the client’s business
Works with minimum supervision and with general high-level guidance and complete all assigned tasks with specified time and quality guidelines.
Review Requirements and provide support to the PL and developer by finding the missing requirement.
Test applications across browsers for cross-browser testing.
Test the application on Mobile and find all the defects.
Test the UI of the application and find defects if applicable along with functional testing of the application.
Client Interaction/ Client Meeting for sprint planning.
Should be able to mentor and guide juniors.
